Products
The CSA (Compressed Spectral Array) option of Walter Graphtek’s PL-EEG gives a comprehensive overview of the frequency content of large portions, or an entire EEG.
- Calculation for any selected montage
- Selectable epoch lengths, frequency ranges and power scales
- Selectable display scales (linear scale of power or amplitude or logarithmic scale)
- Display of Density Modulated Spectral Arrays (DSA)
- Storage of results in separate binary files for customer specific post processing and analysis
- EEG data export for MatLab®, SciPy and other numerical software, incl. CSV export, e.g. for direct access with Microsoft Excel®
- Hilbert transformation and Hilbert transformation based instantaneous frequency estimation
- Graphic export via clipboard for documentation

System requirements
Display
- CSA / DSA display
- Selectable epoch length
- Frequency range selectable per spectrum 0 to 15 Hz, 0 to 25 Hz, and 0 to 40 Hz
- Selectable maximal power (density) to be displayed
- Linear scale of power, linear scale of amplitude, or logarithmic scale (choice of two or three decades)
- Transparent, opaque, multicolored opaque spectra
- 3-dimensional or plain column display
- Hilbert transformation and Hilbert transformation based instantaneous frequency estimation
Signal Processing
Spectrum estimation is done by Welch’s method, averaging partially overlapping periodograms with each epoch. The periodograms are computed using 512 point FFT. The DC component is subtracted and configurable taper is used before fourier transformation.
Data Export
The CSA data, which are stored in binary files on the server, can be used for customer specific post processing and analysis, e.g. for MatLab®, SciPy and other numerical software, incl. CSV export, e.g. for direct access with Microsoft Excel®.
