LÜBECK, October 22, 2007 – Walter Graphtek, a developer of digital EEG systems based in Lübeck, North Germany, is proud to present its latest products at the upcoming ARAB HEALTH exhibition in Dubai, the most important healthcare event for the Middle East.
Walter Graphtek’s digital EEG systems are delivered in the Arabic area since more than ten years.
“We’re not quite one of the major Global Players”, says Uwe Walter, founder and managing director of Walter Graphtek GmbH, “but exactly this gives us a unique opportunity to achieve cutting edge flexible solutions for our customers around the world.”
Uwe Walter laid the corner stone of Walter Graphtek GmbH in the early 1970s when he started selling medical and industrial measuring instruments. Around 1980, this company began to develop its own products in cooperation with Hannover Medical College, Eppendorf University Hospital in Hamburg, Lübeck Medical University, and other university clinics. Staffed by the best trained personnel, in 1989 Walter Graphtek introduced the first digital EEG system for routine diagnostics in Europe, called “PL-EEG” – Paperless EEG. Some of those old DOS systems from the early years are still in operation. “It would be an exaggeration”, Uwe Walter says with a smile, “to say that our developers become enthusiastic about still taking care of compatibility with those anachronistic machines.” New developments are more inspiring – even in the field of servicing and maintenance. Currently, Walter Graphtek establishes safe remote servicing procedures, which enable Walter Graphtek’s staff in Lübeck to directly work with computers all over the globe, for example to integrate the PL-EEG into hospital information systems.
