HL7 Interface

HL7 (Health Level 7) is a standard interface for efficient and cost saving data transfer between the different units of hospitals – from patient registration to laboratory testing, functional diagnostics, and billing.

Walter Graphtek’s digital EEG system, the PL-EEG, can connect neurology departments to all Hospital Information Systems supporting the HL7 standard, and can be customized to meet special national demands (Z Segments).

In combination with the reliable network technology of the PL-EEG, a central planning of EEG examinations is possible, for example different EEG labs can be scheduled for different examinations, and the EEG data can be forwarded to the responsible neurologists for diagnosis.

Walter Graphtek is a German company, which develops digital EEG systems and neurophysiological instruments for standard diagnostics since 1991 – first, on the basis of DOS and later on the basis of Windows operating systems. From the beginning, a central aim was to integrate the PL-EEG systems into existing hospital networks. Therefore, Walter Graphtek has long-standing network experiences, and is trained to closely cooperate with the IT departments of hospitals.

Today, the PL-EEG worldwide is applied as a system for routine diagnostics. Beside standard EEG, the PL-EEG integrates capabilities for sleep diagnostics, ambulant EEG registration, videometry and montitoring.
